Empowering Futures and Commitment to Education Equity

About Us

Yayasan Teman Aksara Cita Harapan Indonesia (Yayasan TEACH Indonesia) is a non-governmental organization based in Indonesia, officially recognized by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights since 2019. Our mission is to provide access to quality education for marginalized and underprivileged children and youth, particularly in Palembang City.

One of our flagship programs, Teman Mengabdi, focuses on delivering educational support to children and youth living in orphanages. Through this program, we aim to contribute to the movement for educational equity by teaching foundational literacy, numeracy, and basic English language skills.

Since the beginning of our journey, we have partnered with more than 25 orphanages and mobilized over 200 dedicated volunteers. To date, approximately 2,500 children and youth have benefited from our initiatives. In 2019, our work was supported by Lippo Group (Aryaduta Palembang), and we have since collaborated with more than 30 youth organizations, institutions, and media outlets.

With continued commitment and collaboration, we hope to reach 5,000 marginalized and underprivileged children and youth by 2026. We believe that even small steps can lead to meaningful change, and we remain steadfast in our dedication to creating inclusive and transformative educational opportunities.
